History is the collection of facts especially about the past for the good purpose of present and the future. Heritage and History are two of a kind that you cannot separate. Now, with the growing danger of loss of valuable archival, library collections and material which determine the world’s legacy of knowledge, identity and history of human kind. UNESCO’s member’s states have unanimously adopted during the 38th Session of the General Conference in November 2015, a first ever Standard setting instrument on the protection of the world’s Documentary Heritage. This “Recommendation concerning the Preservation of, and Access to, Documentary Heritage including in Digital Form”, marks a milestone in UNESCO’s work towards preservation of Documentary Heritage.
